Three days in Miami, timed to the Miami Open at Hard Rock Stadium. A private chef, a pool, a boat day on Biscayne Bay for anyone who wants it — and a city built for staying out late.

The plan
Loosely held, and this is roughly the shape of it. The only thing I'd really want everyone at is the Saturday dinner.
Arrive whenever your flight gets in — flights from New York run all day, so there's no red-eye math and nothing to be late for. The pool in the afternoon, then out in South Beach for an easy first night. No reservations, no schedule.
The Miami Open is on at Hard Rock Stadium, and this is the opening stretch of the draw — the full field is still in, with world-class tennis on the outer courts all day. Grounds passes get you the run of it: sun, shade, a drink, and no obligation to watch anything in particular. Back in the evening, a private chef takes over the kitchen and we all sit down together. This is the one.
The main event Tennis optionalAnyone who wants it takes a boat out on Biscayne Bay for the morning — the most Miami thing on the list. Everyone else gets a slow, undisturbed pool morning. Then fly home whenever: flights are frequent, it's the same time zone, and it's a three-hour hop, so nobody spends the day watching the clock.
Boat day optionalGetting there
Miami is one of the busiest, cheapest routes out of New York — and unlike a desert trip, all three airports fly nonstop, LaGuardia included. The only choice is which airport to land at: Miami (MIA), closest to the beach, or Fort Lauderdale (FLL), usually a little cheaper and just as close to the stadium.

Fares are typical ranges for the season and route, not live quotes — nobody can quote March 2027 yet, and Miami runs higher over spring-break weekends, so book ahead. Use them to compare airports, then price your own dates. Highlighted cells are the best value: JFK into either airport, with FLL the cheapest if you don't mind the longer drive to the beach.
LaGuardia works this time. LGA bans nonstops beyond 1,500 miles — exactly why it was useless for the desert, 2,450 miles out — but Miami is only about 1,090 miles away, comfortably inside the limit, and American and Delta fly LGA → MIA nonstop all day. One catch worth pricing: Spirit and the other bare-fare carriers post the lowest numbers, then charge for the bag and the seat — compare the all-in cost.
